Blue Umbrella or Khatri ki Sattriii

hi friends,

Yesterday i watched “Blue Umbrella” directed by our very own “Vishal Bhardwaj” aka “vishu”. Introducing Shreya Sharma as “Binny” and Pankaj kapoor as “Nandkishore Khatri“. I was spellbound while watching the movie. Hats off to “pankaj kapoor”, he is a class actor. Such a simple subject with such a class screenplay and cinematography.

With the use of an umbrella vishu proved that he can make audience think on its feet. A story of a small village of Himachal Pradesh where a villager (nandkishore) steal a “Blue Umbrella” in order to satisfy his greed. Pankaj did take a plunge into the character of ‘nandkishore’.

Best Part of movie :

1) Realism: lingo used, dialogue and beauty of Himachal Pradesh.

2) “Satriiiii” (Umbrella) as pronounced by nandkishore.

3) when nandkishore looks at shreya while going by bus .

4) when nandkishore gives his umbrella to Mrs. lilly in exchange of Achaar (Pickle).

5) Nandkishore saying “Arre jaayega kahaaan waapas to dukaan par hi aayega” to his lackey ‘raamlaal’

6) when nandkishore left behind the baraat.

7) Nandkishore trying hard to get his umbrella inside the transport bus, overall Mr. Nandkishore is the best part of this movie.

8) Background music.

If you are a true fan of Bollywood then it is a must must watch movie. Now you can enjoy this trailer.

Rating - *** 1/2
